Chief Technology Officer - Dr Andrew Creeth  

Dr Creeth is the co-founder and inventor of the ACAL Energy technology. Andrew has extensive experience of the industry based R&D processes built at Unilever, one of the world's leading blue chip companies. He has a strong inventive record with 17 patents. Andrew stems from a sound science base, with depth of knowledge, 11 publications, and has led teams which delivered the technology for market launches.  

 

Non Executive Chairman - Michael Baunton CBE

Michael brings to ACAL Energy extensive experience in engineering and production worldwide, having worked within manufacturing for over 40 years. He has held senior executive roles with companies including Caterpillar Inc., Perkins Engines Company Limited and Tenneco Inc. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Limited’s Industry Forum, and an independent non-executive director of TT Electronics plc. Michael was awarded a CBE in 2004 for services to the automotive and engineering industries in the UK.

 

Independant Non Executive Director - Dr Bob Pettigrew

 

Bob Pettigrew has more than 30 years experience in the development of emerging businesses. In 1986 he co-founded Generics (aka Sagentia Plc) and was key member of the team that took the company public in December 2000.

He is an investor director on the board of a number of technology companies including Odos Ltd., Nightingale-EOS Ltd. and Sunamp Ltd.  He was Chairman of Voxar Ltd and managed its $50m trade sale in Sept 2004 and served previously  as NXD with Oxonica, Sphere Medical Plc., Zinwave Ltd., and Digital Health Care Ltd. He is a member of the advisory board of Ascendant Corporate Finance as well as being a non executive board member of British Small Companies VCT2 Plc.

 

Investor Director - Alexander Nevinskiy

 

Alexander joined the Board in 2012 as I2BF Global Ventures investor representative. Alexander has been with I2BF for 5 years where he has developed expertise in the emerging industries of clean fuels and chemicals, energy efficiency and advanced agriculture. Prior to joining I2BF Alexander was a biophysics researcher. He holds a Bio-Physics degree from Novosibirsk State University and a Finance degree from the London School of Economics.

 

Non Executive Director - Thierry Piret

 

Thierry Piret is Senior Investment Manager, Solvay S.A., the international chemical group based in Brussels, Belgium. Thierry heads the corporate venturing team, having worked for Solvay for over 25 years within R&D and new business development including activities in biotechnology, industrial enzymes and animal health. He holds a MSc. in Chemical and Agricultural Sciences.

 

Non Executive Director - Kevin Trecco

Kevin joined the ACAL Energy Board in 2013. He is an Associate Director at the Carbon Trust managing portfolio programmes designed to actively accelerate the introduction of low carbon technologies. He is currently focused on polymer fuel cells and biomass-derived transport fuels.

Before joining the Carbon Trust, Kevin worked in strategy consulting for L.E.K. in the energy and healthcare sectors, and in technology transfer for U.S. universities, commercializing early stage technologies.
