ACAL Energy has achieved record levels of power output from its kilowatt-scale fuel cell system using its patented liquid cathode technology, FlowCath®. Peak power levels of 1.5kW have been achieved from the hydrogen-fuelled laboratory-scale system.

ACAL Energy Starts Operation of 1kW Liquid Cathode (26-Aug-2009)
ACAL Energy, announced today the successful start-up of its kilowatt-scale fuel cell system using its patented liquid cathode technology, FlowCath®. The hydrogen-fuelled ‘short-stack’ unit has already achieved a continuous power output of over 600W, and will deliver over 1.5kW with the full stack, expected later this summer.

ACAL Energy Announces Record Fuel Cell Power Levels (05-Feb-2009)
ACAL Energy Ltd. has today announced the achievement of a significant technical milestone that should enable rapid commercialisation of its platinum free cathode technology (FlowCath®) for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. The Company has obtained peak power density figures from its development fuel cells that consistently exceed 570mW/cm2 since late December 2008.
