Official Handover to Solvay Interox is a huge sucess (23-Feb-2012)
ACAL Energy’s fuel cell technology was centre-stage for a meeting of the great and the good in UK technology. With our partners, we hosted a meeting for around 60 people at the Solvay Interox site in Warrington. The principal purpose of the event was to mark the handover of the first FlowCath® fuel cell system to be installed in a working application. This 3kW unit is providing round-the-clock back-up power for an effluent clean-up plant.

ACAL Energy Shows a Step Change in Fuel Cell Durability is Achievable (19-Jan-2012)
ACAL Energy has completed an important step in a rigorous testing programme designed to evaluate the durability of its FlowCath® fuel cell platform. The results confirm that the platinum-free liquid cathode system, FlowCath® inherently eliminates many of the causes of lost performance in both continuous operation and in auto cycling. It has the potential greatly to assist the cost-down strategies of vehicle OEMs looking to deploy fuel cells.

ACAL Energy Succesfully Commissions Innovative Fuel Cell System (16-Dec-2011)
ACAL Energy has successfully commissioned the first field test system of its innovative FlowCath® platinum-free liquid cathode fuel cell technology. The installation proceeded as planned at the Solvay Interox chemical plant in Warrington, Cheshire.

ACAL Energy Achieves Key Milestones in Development of New Fuel Cell Technology (24-Oct-2011)
ACAL Energy is pleased to announce it has achieved key milestones in the development of its FlowCath® platinum-free liquid cathode fuel cell technology. The Company has completed the build of its first field test system, producing gross power of 3kW. At the same time the company has also achieved a new record peak performance power density of nearly 900 mW/cm2, which is a substantial improvement over the previously announced peak power record of around 600 mW/cm2.

The company will continue to benefit from Dr Wilkie's extensive experience in his ongoing role as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board.

ACAL Energy and Gordon Murray Design to Develop Affordable Fuel Cell Vehicle Concept (05-Jul-2011)
ACAL Energy announce today they are partnering with automotive design experts Gordon Murray Design in a 12-month project to design a very low cost, durable fuel cell vehicle utilizing their innovative fuel cell technology. The 12-month project is funded by the Technology Strategy Board under its Low Carbon Vehicle programme.

ACAL Energy Completes Fund Raising Round (13-Jun-2011)
ACAL Energy announces the completion of its current fund raising round, having secured total investments of £6.1 million. The round was led by CT Investment Partners (CTIP) and included contributions from several new and existing investors.
