The job purpose of this role will be to aid continual development of test rig software and prototype system control I/O.
The major challenges and key accountabilities of the role will be to increase functionality of test stand software including full logic automation, reliability and diagnostic capabilities.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Programming control subsystems and development of GUI using LabView software and Siemens PLC hardware.
Control system engineering, application of engineering mathematics and ability to understand complex control and feedback-systems.
Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting diagnostic capabilities.
Competent understanding of wiring diagrams and process and instrumentation documents.
Personal Skills & Attributes:
Understanding of software requirements from a chemistry, fuel cell and engineering point of view.
Hands on attention to detail and ability to think for oneself.
Keen to learn- opportunity for role to develop to include additional programming such as PLC and micro-controller programming.
This role is suitable for a junior level software engineer or someone looking for a first appointment.
Salary £18,000-£20,000 D.O.E.
